As The National Cyber Security Centre says, "Cyber Essentials is a simple but effective, Government-backed scheme that will help you to protect your organisation, whatever its size, against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks.

Cyber attacks come in many shapes and sizes, but the vast majority are very basic in nature, carried out by relatively unskilled individuals. They’re the digital equivalent of a thief trying your front door to see if it’s unlocked. Our advice is designed to prevent these attacks."

As a result of our extensive investment, I am pleased to announce that Essendon Accounts & Tax Limited has obtained its Cyber Essentials Certificate.

If an individual wishes to attack an accountancy practice, they will find it difficult to break into our servers and will no doubt go for a softer option. I trust this helps reassure clients that we take data protection seriously and care about their data.

As part of our commitment to data protection, we would like to send personal data by encrypted emails to prevent any leakage and will work with individual clients to ensure this happens.

Nearly all of us have heard of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) coming into force on 25 May 2018, and this affects us and every other business in the EU. The business environment is changing and as a business godparent, I am here to point you in the right direction.

"Would you like to know more?"

If you'd like to find out more about our Cyber Essentials certification and start receiving encyrpted email from us, do call me on 01908 774320 or click here to ping me an email and let's see how I can help you.

Until next time ...
