If you're a property investor looking for a coach and mentor then you need to meet Mark l'Anson!

People travel from all corners of the country to attend his meetings and his one-to-one coaching sessions so I was a little nervous before my talk, though I needn't have worried as the audience was great and even gave me a round of applause at the end.

"It struck me that he had nailed the idea of power teams and I was not just in Mark's contact sphere, but in his power team!"

To clarify, a 'contact sphere' includes everyone you could team up whilst a 'power team' is a close group that will refer business to each other. Mark has carefully considered the related professions he would like to work with and has identified those members who he thinks will support him.

In addition to my good self, Mark includes a building surveyor, mortgage consultant, insurance broker and solicitor - all experts in their field - within his team. Successful teams don't just happen over time and, in fact, continuously evolve, but once working they can be extremely powerful.

One thing that did impress me about the day was that Mark did not just concentrate on the mechanics of how to trade in property, but gave invaluable advice on how to network and build up your contact spheres and power teams.

So, have you analysed your contact sphere and identified some great power teams? If not, I recommend you devote the time to this as it will do great things to your brand.
