Firstly, consider the reason for your dress code. Is it to ensure safety while using personal protective equipment (PPE), like in the case of Police Scotland's clean-shaven requirement? If your dress code is for safety reasons, such as the need for PPE to fit correctly, make it clear. Health and safety are paramount, and your employees need to understand that certain requirements are non-negotiable. Here in the UK we don't have any specific law dictating work attire, so it's crucial to avoid discrimination.
